In the winter of 2016, I decided I wanted to get into podcasting but I didn’t know where to start. After really looking at my passions and where I spend my time I realized that community is extremely important to me along with people. With that in mind, I convinced my good friend, Sergio Oliveri, to start a podcast with me. We ended up calling that podcast “WhatUp Silicon Valley”. Since then, the pod has been renamed to the “Sam & Serg Show” and WhatUp Silicon Valley has transitioned to a podcast network. We have several other pods on the network and the one I’m going to be telling you about in this post is called “Brand Hero”.
I discovered I love podcasting after about 8 months of releasing a new pod weekly and meeting so many people and hearing interesting stories. Not only that, but I realized that some of the people we are interviewing we get to know on a more personal level than some of my own friends! It’s just the nature of interviewing. I decided around this time that I wanted to talk more about marketing and that is how the idea for Brand Hero was born.
The first season of Brand Hero is over 30 episodes. Each pod is around 30 minutes long and you can expect to learn tactical marketing practices that you can apply to your own business. A lot of the pods relating to positioning and events.
You can check out some the Brand Hero pods on iTunes or any other pod player like Stitcher too!
What podcasts are you listening to? What motivates you to hit subscribe?
