I love goal-setting, anyone that has been stuck in a car with me for over a few hours will be the first to tell you that goal-setting is one of the things I talk about most. In fact, I’m getting very close to publishing my second book which is all about goal-setting. But that’s not the point here.
The point in this post is as great as it is to set goals, it’s equally as important to evaluate your progress so that you can tweak and repeat to build upon what you have done thus far. The reason I’m talking about that in this post is because I’m looking at the time of year (September) and I’m really starting to think about my 2019 yearly goals. This time last year the Brand Hero podcast was simply just a thought. I knew I’d eventually launch a podcast about branding & marketing but I didn’t have a clear vision of what it’d look like quite yet. Fast forward a year later…
At the time of writing this, I have published 36 Brand Hero podcasts. I’ve interviewed the CEO of 99designs, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, sat down with the Vice President of the 49ers, and met/interviewed countless other amazing and inspirational marketers. On top of that, it’s so rewarding to hear from listeners!
What am I really excited about though?
I’m excited to take a break from Brand Hero! … and not for the reasons you might think. Brand Hero season one with over 30 episodes has been a collection of interviews with great marketers and actionable advice for listeners. But, there’s been something missing.
Continuity. I’m looking forward to switching the podcast to a seasonal approach with just a few episodes on a specific topic to give you a deeper dive and a more tactical approach to address your marketing challenges.
During the past couple months I’ve been white-boarding possible season topics and when I get a chance to take a break from interviewing people for the current season; I’ll have more time to draw out what the next few seasons will look like.
So stay tuned, because exciting topics are coming to Brand Hero!
